| Congo – Hope in the middle of tragedy |
Late Monday evening, June 21, 2010 - It started off like a normal train trip from Pointe Noire, the economic center of the Congo, to Brazzaville, the nation’s capital. Some may have noticed late that evening that the packed train was traveling faster than normal, but no one dreamed what was about to take place. As the train took a curve approximately 40 miles from Pointe Noire, four cars derailed and headed into a ravine.

God moved in a marvelous way in our Heart-Cry for Revival-Southeast Tennessee conference. More than fifty churches participated in some way. However, these were much more than “church meetings.” God met with us.

| Leaders Cry Out for Revival |
Pastors and ministry leaders gathered at the Billy Graham Training Center, The Cove, for the seventh Heart-Cry for Revival conference that has been held during the past ten years. A spirit of revival permeated the meetings as these Christian leaders sought God’s face. The conference was preceded by a prayer conference led by Dave Butts and Daniel Henderson. Dave serves as president of Harvest Prayer Ministries and chairman of the U.S. National Prayer Committee while Daniel is president of Strategic Renewal.

Don Graham, a businessman from San Antonio, Texas, threw his head back and roared with laughter as water gushed from the well in a Liberian village. As the rain poured down on him and his Liberian colleagues, joy flooded his soul. The pastor of the local church and the elders of the village expressed their appreciation, saying, “This is wonderful. You told us that you would return and repair our water well. Now, our people have clean water.”

| Spirit of Revival Captures Hearts in Tennessee |
A spirit of renewal captured the hearts of members of the Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee this past week. Sammy Tippit was the speaker for this large church in the suburbs of Chattanooga. He preached a series entitled "Refreshment in the Race". Many people were at the altar committing their lives to Christ during each service. Lives were changed; sins forgiven; relationships restored; and refreshing came from God’s presence.

Sammy Tippit recently told Mission Network News that the present world-wide economic crisis has produced a spark for a spiritual revival, but is not revival itself. He said, “People are becoming desperate. They’re questioning their values and beginning to wonder if there’s more to life than acquiring material possessions. That’s a spark. But we need the wind of God to blow across their hearts that the spark may turn into a flame of revival.”

Sammy Tippit Ministries recently conducted a leadership conference among Armenian Christians of all denominations. Tippit brought a series of messages on "Running with Endurance" to those in attendance. He spoke on a Sunday afternoon to pastors from Yerevan. Pastors and leaders came from every denominational background, both Protestant and the Apostolic (Orthodox) Churches. He challenged the leaders to run to their full potential the race that God had called them to run.
