Each took on a different characteristic and God moved in incredible and unique ways throughout these cities.  Approximately three thousand people responded to Christ during these life-changing meetings.

Dave Tippit held meetings in Benguela, where many commitments were made for Christ.  He also led a discipleship training school for Eternal Concepts and students from all over Angola came to Benguela to attend the school. Many lives were changed and Dave Tippit said, “There was a fire set in their hearts for Christ during this time.”

In Cabinda, Marshall Wolcott, Billy and Darleen Honc ministered.  This area is a very isolated region of Angola, so there were not as many large crowds or Evangelical Christians living there.  But there were a tremendous
percentage of people that responded to the Gospel.  They were extremely pleased with the response because of the fact that this area did not have as many Christians living there.

Gary Maroney and his wife, Darlene, ministered in the city of Uige.  Maroney saw a great response of people who came to know Christ.  About 1500 people accepted Christ as their Savior and many people had the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Wayne and Martha Jenkins held the meetings in Luena.  Many lives were changed.  One particular group of people that were changed came from a cult-like group that attended the crusade.  This group of about 150 people were dressed in pure white.  When Jenkins began to give the invitation, they all moved to the front, blocking the people from the altar.  These people were apparently expecting a “prophet” that was coming from the United States.  Once Jenkins assured him he was not a prophet and explained the message of Jesus Christ to them, several of the people, including one of their leaders accepted Jesus into their hearts.  The leader came to the church the following Sunday, wearing normal clothes and free from the trancelike state.  Another leader told one of the pastors in Luena that their group was at a crossroads of deciding what they should believe.  Many of the pastors in Luena are working with the group and teaching them about Jesus and how He can transform their lives.

Sammy Tippit held a pastors’ conference for two days in the capital city of Luanda.  He also launched his devotional series Praying For Your Family, as well as holding an evangelistic meeting in Torrado the national bullring. Hundreds of people came to Christ at the bullring and God blessed in miraculous ways.

“This was a major outreach throughout the nation of Angola,” said Tippit. “And we saw God work in a mighty way.”
