On June 8, Dave Tippit will head to Madurai, India and hold a weeklong seminar for 50 university-age students.  This seminar is a miniaturized version of the  nine month discipleship training school that Eternal Concepts has held in past years in San Antonio, Texas. 

Tippit is excited to begin this new venture into ministering into the hearts of young people all around the world.  This trip to India will begin the first of many trips overseas to train students in this unique discipleship process. 

The 2nd trip scheduled for 2007 will be in July, to Romania, where Tippit will also host a seminar for college-age students.  During this week-long training, he will actually be giving over 20 seminar lectures on various topics such as prayer, worship, humility, and faith. 

While in Romania, Tippit will also join with another Christian group to do some humanitarian work at several orphanages and schools.  Eternal Concepts will bring over numerous necessities and “fun” items for the kids in these schools and orphanages, who do not have much to enjoy in life. 

EC’s 3rd and final trip of 2007 will be to the Philippines.  This trip, which is scheduled to be in October, will host approximately 100 students with the format being the same as that in Madurai, India.  Students will be introduced to video speakers, discussion groups, Bible study, and worship time. 

 There are thousands and thousands of hours of preparation that go into these discipleship training trips.  From hiring video translators for the video content, to preparing messages, to organizing the logistics of the trips, to outlining the discussion times, the EC concepts team definitely has their plate full.  They have already begun the preparation work for the trips for 2008, which might include the continents of Africa and India. 

Please pray for Dave Tippit as he travels to India.  Pray for his safety and rest.  And pray for his family’s peace and safety while he is away.  Also, pray for the actual seminar in which the students will participate.  Pray that they will seek God during this intense week-long period of discipleship training and that they will begin a process to help change their home, university, city, and country for Christ.  Pray also for the logistics and financial aspects of the trip.  Both take a huge amount of time and preparation.  Pray that God will bring in the funds that are needed and that everything will flow smoothly while Tippit is in India bringing the message of Christ and His love to the next generation of youth in India.
