“Does your heart cry for an authentic move of God?”  This is the first sentence in the Heart-Cry pamphlet posed by executive director of Life Action Ministries, Byron Paulus.  It is a question asking those to ask themselves if they truly yearn for an honest spark in a relationship with God.  Hearty-Cry is a conference sponsored by several prayer and revival ministries in the United States and Canada.  It is a conference where hundreds of leaders come together to ask God for revival and hearts that are full of passion to know Christ and His presence in their lives. 

Various speakers from all over the country come to speak at this four-day conference, which begins on Monday, April 14 2008 and ends Thursday April 17.  Speakers include Nancy Leigh Demoss, host of Revive our Hearts, and Dr. Crawford Loritts, pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA.  Other highlighted speakers are Dr. Bob Bakke, U.S. director of the Global Day of Prayer, North America, Dr. John Avent, pastor of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, Dr. Erwin Lutzer, pastor of Moody Church, in Chicago, Il, Dr. James McDonald, pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, in Rolling Meadows, Il and Richard Owen Roberts, president of International Awakening Ministries in Wheaton, IL. 

These speakers will touch on a variety of subjects at the conference held in the mountains nestled outside the beautiful town of Asheville, NC.  These topics include prayer, worship, and preaching.  Workshops will play a big role in the Heart-Cry conference.  The workshop topics include:  prayer for revival in individual lives, the family, the local church, the nation, and the marketplace.

These sessions provide the insight of the vision of the Heart-Cry conference, which is to “equip, and commission ministry leaders in their passionate desire for God to bring spiritual renewal to individuals, churches, campuses, and nations.”  Attendees include pastors/associate pastors, para-church leaders, missionaries, prayer ministry leaders, Bible college and seminary faculty or students, denominational elders, Christian counselors, and church deacons and elders.
