Sammy Tippit spoke to hundreds of believers at a meeting of The Brotherhood, a renewal movement in the Apostolic (Orthodox) Church in Armenia. He launched his new book and workbook, Praying for Your Family and challenged believers to seek God for a mighty revival in their homes.
The Holy Spirit's presence was felt deeply in the meetings as scores of those in attendance came to the altar kneeling and seeking God's face during the time of invitation. Tears were shed. Hearts were warmed. Prayers were lifted to the throne of heaven. And lives were changed forever.
The Texas based evangelist said, "God's presence was felt deeply during the meetings. I sensed His strength and power in a special way during my message. People listened so earnestly." Not only did those attendance listen earnestly, but they responded to his message intensely. When the call was given for followers of Jesus to give their lives completely to God and to begin seeking God for their families, scores of people came to the altar immediately. They fell to their knees and sought God for a mighty work of His Spirit.
Sammy and Tex Tippit speak to Armenian Christian leaders
Sammy and Tex Tippit spoke to Christian leaders in Armenia during May. They introduced Praying for Your Family to pastors and Christian leaders in the nation. During a question and answer time, several leaders gave testimonies how God has used other Sammy Tippit books in their lives and ministries.
The Tippits also ministered to leadership team of New Life Armenia (Campus Crusade for Christ). Tex Tippit met with the women and Sammy met with the men for a time to talk about the relationship of family and ministry priorities. Sammy Tippit then led a conference with Christian leaders throughout the nation. He spoke to the leaders on the topic, Eight truths by which you can live and die. Tippit told the conferees that he had been diagnosed with cancer just a few months earlier and how it caused him to think through the truths that were critical for Christian living.
As he thought through those truths, God placed on his heart to share with the Armenian leaders some of those truths. The leaders responded well to his presentation. Many made new commitments to Christ. There was a deep sense of brokenness during the prayer times. Several participants told how God had renewed their walk with Him during the conference. In his final message, Tippit spoke on the Supremacy of Christ and how His life was the only hope for eternal, victorious, and abundant life. Armenian Christian leaders embraced Tippit's message.
