And He Wist Not. - Jud. 16:20
That blessed man of God, James Caughey, who so blessed General William Booth and who was so greatly used of God on both sides of the Atlantic, tells in one of his books how he was invited out to tea one evening, and though there was nothing harmful in the talk of the hour he discovered as he went into the meeting that night his soul was like a loosely-strung bow. He could not shoot the King’s arrows into the hearts of the King’s enemies, for he had no power. It had been lost at the tea table!
One cannot criticize another. Before our own Master we stand or fall. What may affect one life may not affect another. Let us “guard our deposits,” as Paul instructed young Timothy. Let us “keep the securities of the faith intact” (I Timothy 6:20)
