In this sermon, Sammy talks about the epidemic of
superficial spirituality in America. He
discusses Matthew 5:17-20, the passage in which Jesus challenges his listeners
saying, “Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the Scribes and the
Pharisees, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” In lieu of this statement, Sammy addresses
three vital questions: 1) who were the Scribes and Pharisees? 2) What was their
righteousness? 3) What was the standard of righteousness according to Jesus
Christ?
