I remember Sammy Tippit from way back. Late sixties and early seventies in Cahokia Ill. I caught the name and could not beleive I would see or hear it again.
I was just in grade school at a youth crusade in Cahokia Ill.
My brother got saved. I did not know what that meant but I do know what
I saw as a kid was for real. I remember the wood crosses that had a
fish at the bottom. Someone in the Tippit org made one for my brother.
I now am a pastor. I served in youth ministry fromFlorida to North Carolina to Kansas
. I have worked with kids in gangs to farm kids. I am convinced that
God used Bro. Sammy all those years ago to plant a seed in my life. It
has finally come up and working in the harvest of souls. God bless you
and your ministry.

Sammy, I'm Passin' It On
It
has been a blessing to find through the net that Sammy is still around
and preaching God's word. Sammy led me to the Lord when I was 13 years
old in the Chicago area. Later that year I spent time praying and witnessing with Sammy during his fast after his Chicago arrest.
Until 1996 I
was a very unhappy person because I did not know Jesus. I tried to
commit suicide. I was surprised when I tried to hang myself. At this
time of my life I was confronting a lot of difficult things. A friend
of mine at the university had talked to me about Christ and His power
to change my life. I visited the church but never accepted the Lord.
"The times are a-changin'" could have been the theme for a song in the former Soviet Union
between 1991 and 1995. The changes that took place were extraordinary -
not only politically, but spiritually. For 70 years, everyone had been
taught God didn't exist, and, in one dramatic moment, all Soviet
ideology was turned upside down and rejected by the masses. They knew
what not to believe in. They just didn't know what to believe in.
My parents are currently in the Ukraine
for the Jubilee 2000 crusade. I have been reading your daily updates,
being the worry-wart that I am, to find out how God is using everyone.
And let me tell you, I have been so blessed and so touched by the
awesome reports! It's so awesome how God can reach even the hardest to
reach people all over the world!!! I have been praying for everyone and
I will continue to pray for Sammy Tippit's ministry! What an awesome
God we serve!!!! Thank you so much for your website!!!
