I was in Cairo
for a month following my son's surgery there this past fall, and I was
invited to go to an evangelical church to hear a preacher from Texas.
I had never heard of him before, but two college-aged young ladies and
I went to hear him with the hope that the gospel message would be
clearly presented. Praise the Lord, it was! I found out late last
night, while listening to a radio program, who the preacher was: Sammy
Tippit....and, more importantly for me, I heard about some of the
results from the crusade over there. God bless you!
On the night I attended, there were not enough counselors present, and, consequently, a woman two rows ahead of me stood alone, so I went up to her and prayed with her and gave her a copy of the Arabic translation of the book of John that I had in my purse.
Since I could not speak more than a dozen words in Arabic, and she spoke less English than I do Arabic, only our tears and smiles conveyed what we were feeling in our hearts.
Please pray for this unkown woman (a non-Muslim, I'm certain, because of lack of head-piece, woman around late 20s, early 30s) and let her be representative of those seekers who are the "field that is white unto harvest yet the laborers are few" so, who knows if she has come to know Christ as her Savior, yet.
Thank you for letting me share this and thank you for your faithfulness to the calling to which our LORD has called you.
God bless!
Mary S.
