The weekly devotionals by Sammy Tippit have been a tremendous blessing to my spiritual life and walk with my Holy Father.
I’m continually amazed, yet not surprised, of how my precious Father so perfectly knows what we need and when we need it at each moment of our lives. He is never late or early; He is always perfect in everything.
I recall one day when my heart was in deep agony, my burdens were heavy to the point that my endurance was weakened. Peace in those moments seemed out of the question until I read Sammy's devotional on Jehovah-Shalom; Jehovah-peace. My Father simply reminded me He is the God of peace, and through Christ, I also have peace in the midst of what I considered overwhelming circumstances. Peace was no longer a question; peace was a reality.
Several months had past since I loss my business, and I remember this particular day because the pressure was immense. I didn’t know how I was going to provide for my family's needs, had bills to pay and had incurred substantial debt from my business. I cried out to my Father again and again for help, and I was disappointed because He would not answer me.
That day I checked my e-mail box and found an e-mail by Sammy on "Jehovah Jireh"; Jehovah-provider. He is my provider and I must trust only in Him for my every need -- this is what My precious Father taught me that day. In the midst of immense pressure, I trusted My Father and believed in Him that He is My provider.
Sammy, I can say without any reservation that there are many of my brothers and sisters in Christ that have been inspired by your weekly devotions, just as I have. My Father was pleased to use your writings to encourage me, and for this, I’m eternally grateful. In this complex and untruthful world, it’s a blessing to be able to read truths according to God's holy Word, concise and with a "touch of His hand of power."
